October 2009, at a charming riverside restaurant : "l'Ecluse"(photos hereunder) not far from Cannes.
From here, you can see trouts in the river - they fish them and serve them at the restaurant.
It has quite a history, it was previously a 'guinguette' ...
Une guinguette est un cabaret populaire officiant aussi comme restaurant et comme lieu de bal, le plus souvent au bord d'une rivière.

and ... a very rare ;) one of my distinguished self, a few weeks ago, in Juan les Pins with a very photogenic sky and sea ... That's in front of "Restaurant de la Plage" which Catherine knows well.
and another one at Stef's ... eating oysters .. bookcase behind is why he made me a similar one on my terrace, because I had admired it ... for fitting in so many of my books ... thank you Stéphane !
and finally, Stef and 2 'mothers', me and a 'Chilean' one ...(mother of his girlfriend) ...that was last year.

Lovely pics, relaxed and happy. Funny how Cape Town reminds me of Paris and the South of France in a South African kind of way. Maybe that's why I like it so much.
