At about the same time as earthquake in Chile (previous entry), in France whole regions have been unexpectedly and violently flooded by a storm that became a hurricane they called "Xynthia",
destroying completely dozens of houses and water invading some houses roof high, drowning people in their beds and in their sleep !
... several dozens of deaths...
South of France has not been touched ... this time, but we have a noticeable change of type of climate during the last winter months,
much more rain, cold, mists, and even snow, than usual.

Very scary and quite horrific. Apparently Cape Town coastal towns like Camps Bay, Kommetjie to name a few, will also experience the rising of sea level due to climate changes.
