... trying Higher ...

... this bilingual (FR-EN) blog for storing miscellaneous elements including a few copies of articles or book excerpts (that I found particularly interesting or inspiring or reflecting my own feelings...), old and new (some family) photos, and of course my notes, thoughts, own writing, and links to family blogs ... one could say "a personal scrapbook". I found writing diaries or journals or blogs (now for nearly 10 years) can be really therapeutic besides a feeling of connection. NOTERS WELCOME.

... I was in my lounge, looking at my TV screen with disbelief, took my phone to tell my son about this while he was climbing mountains on holiday in Corsica....

Caen is a French town in Normandy, well visited by the veterans of last world war.

I see with interest that they have organised there this Commemoration, and made a special Exhibition in cooperation with the Nyc State Museum.

Needless to say I have a thought today for all the American families who were impacted on that date. Dramas like this should make the Human Family come closer than ever and remember that we ARE a 'family' ... and that anything that impacts any of us, has repercussions on the very 'fabric' of Humanity.

This is an Exhibition (open from June to December 2008) whose aim is to retrace the story of that day, to better keep it in History for human memories, and for the children to understand that history.

Hoping that understanding better the dramas of History, we might be better able to prevent these from recurring.

Some objects coming from Ground Zero will be presented symbolically to represent the last traces from those thousands of persons who disappeared on that day within 133 minutes.

This Exhibition is organized in close cooperation with the New York State Museum, and images, photos, films and testimonies will also be presented. There will be explanations of what that Twin Towers complex represented for New York, more information on the workings of Al-Qaïda and also the psychological portrait of those 19 Djihadists who hijacked and diverted four civil planes transforming them into kamikaze bombs.
